History becomes an adventure for you in Kraichgau-Stromberg: Discover the numerous collectors' pieces in museums, such as the "Museum of Mechanical Music Instruments" in Bruchsal Castle or the "Nail Museum" in Löchgau. Walk in Bretten on the tracks of the great reformer Philipp Melanchthon, or feel the mystical aura of the legendary alchemist Dr. Faustus in the Knittlingen Faust Museum.

"Stony" contemporary witnesses of an eventful past allow history to come alive, e.g. in the Oberderdingen Courthouse, the Maulbronn monastery facility (which was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1994), the Bruchsal Baroque Castle or at the numerous fortresses.

During a journey through the Kraichgau-Stromberg region and its past you will meet important personalities: Kepler, Hesse and Hölderlin left behind their traces in Maulbronn. A tour through Brackenheim leads you through the life of Theodor Heuss, the first Federal President of Germany. Friedrich Hecker and Franz Sigel, the leaders of the Baden Revolution from 1848/1849 were also at home her, as well as the poet Samuel Friedrich Sauter - better known under the name "Biedermeier".
